What is the latex modified mortar listed here used for? Is it part of the underpayment process? If so, what part? I was assuming this was associated with adhering the tile but see that many state this is NOT recommended for tile. Thanks

The glue included with the Tavy Thin Skin system is designed to securely adhere the Thin Skin underlayment to the surface that you plan to tile over. Once the Thin Skin is in place, you should apply a thin layer of thin-set mortar, known as a skim coat, over the Thin Skin membrane. This preparation creates a suitable surface for the tile to adhere to. This two-step process—first adhering the underlayment and then applying a skim coat—ensures that the tile installation will be stable and durable. This approach is essential for achieving a long-lasting tile surface on top of the Thin Skin underlayment.
