Travertine Hole Repair: Preparation and Working Time
Before filling pits or voids in travertine floors, countertops, walls or backsplashes, make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of debris, wax and coatings. Mix StonePro Traverfill powder with clean water: use a thinner consistency for smaller holes and a thicker consistency for larger voids. Prepare only as much material as you can apply within approximately 10–15 minutes, following StonePro's instructions.
Apply with a small putty knife or grout float, allow the repair material to dry completely, then remove excess material using a damp sponge. Cleaning before the filler is dry can pull material back out of the repair. Light and Dark Traverfill can be mixed for color matching. Consult the manufacturer's product instructions and the substrate's care requirements before use.
